No dice in the first part, lots of dice rolling in the second. A quite new prototype.

Great battles (quickly resolved) alternate with raids and gradual expansion in a point game where you'd like to be left alone to prosper, but rarely will be. The diceless game uses "committed intent" cards to avoid advantage of turn order, and to reduce downtime. Technology plays a part but does not dominate. What matters is your strategic acumen - and some negotiation. About two and a half hours, perhaps three with new players. The game has been played many, many times.

Game Type: Board
GM's Name(s): Lewis Pulsipher
Brief Game Description: This co-operative game represents the efforts of Pompey the Great to eradicate piracy from the Mediterranean during the late Roman Republic.(Pompey was Caesar's great rival.) Players are the Romans, so this is an offensive rather than defensive co-op. It's a pretty simple game with the objective of lasting 60-90 minutes. 2-5 players.
Number of Players: 2-5
Ages: Adults Only

Game Title: Breaking Away
GM's Name: Charles Corzine
Game Type (Board or RPG): Board Game
Brief Decription: Breaking Away is a luck-free race game based on cycling. Players control a team of four cyclists. For each cyclist the player chooses one of his available movement allowances and moves that many squares. Once all cyclists have moved, the expended movement allowances are replaced with new ones calculated according to the cyclist's position in the peloton; being at the back of a group brings a high replacement value, and being at the front a low one.

Sprint points are earned by being among the first eight to cross the sprint lines so there is always a trade-off between slipstreaming ("drafting") the other riders in order to build up high movement allowances and making a break for the front to be the first to cross the finish line.
Number of Players: 2-9

Game Title:  They always take the heads…
GM's Name: Chris Forster                                                                                                                                                                      System: Warhammer Fantasy (Con Special)                                                                                                                                         Type: RPG (2D10’s needed % dice)                                                                                                                                                          Time: Saturday Evening  (8-11)

This is an adult theme game. No one under 21 admitted without GM approval

In a quiet hamlet in Norsaka, a cry for help has gone out. It seems some greenskins have been causing mayhem and killing. The local men have been slaughtered and the women and children taken. King Rognard has sent his eldest son and his companions to fix the problem.

Upon arrival, all is not what it seems. There is more to this than Greenskins. The taint of Chaos is on the wind, and this does not bode well.
